XV Ironman Lanzarote Canarias Triathlon…

Just 2 months ahead of Ironman Lanzarote… and impressed by Gerrit Schellens’ victory at Ironman South Africa yesterday (Gerrit finished here 3 rd in 2005, 4 th in 2003 and 2004, and will be at the start line next 20 May… ), we are proud to give the following news:
Rolf Aldag registers for Ironman Lanzarote 2006. He is one of more than 900 registered athletes so far, as the field keeps growing.

Rolf is a complete roockie in triathlon and Ironman and has therefore chosen to race as an age grouper, and he is definitely going for a slot for Hawaii…
Rolf Aldag is a German cyclist. He was a professional cyclist from 1991 till 2005. He was part of Team Deutsche Telekom for 10 years and he has participated in all the important competitions, together with e.g. Jan Ullrich and Erik Zabel. In his last years he cycled for T-Mobile and he was the most experienced man in this team. Now he’s working at the communication department of T-Mobile and is also assistant for the cycling team of T-Mobile.
In his career, he was 10 times at the start of the Tour de France, once in the Giro d’Italia and 6 times in the Vuelta d’España.
Each year in November he is one of the leaders of the Club La Santa Bike Weeks.
