XV Ironman Lanzarote – 20 May 2006
Club La Santa and Ironman Lanzarote are proud to announce the entry of Björn Andersson to the 15th edition of our race on next 20 May.
This Swedish triathlete finished and won the 2005 Norseman Xtreme Triathlon (all other athletes dropped out because of the snow situation)
- 1 st Place 2005 Norseman Xtreme Triathlon (Course Record)
- 2005 Ironman Wisconsin fastest bike split
- 2005 Disney Half Ironman fastest bike split
- 3 rd Place 2004 Ironman New Zealand (fastest bike split)
- 4 th Place 2004 Disney Half Ironman (fastest bike split - 2 hours 2 minutes!!)
We are really enthusiastic to have one more incredibly good cyclist taking up the challenge, increasing even more the already impressive field that is beating all records of participation.
The men field includes former Pro German cyclists, Kai Hundertmarck and Rolf Aldag who ran the Hamburg Marathon on 23 April in 2:42:45, Ironman winners Luc Van Lierde, Thomas Hellriegel, Gerrit Schellens (recently winner in South Africa in front of Tissink and World Champion Al Sultan) and defending champion Ain Alar Juhanson.
But we will all certainly keep an eye on many other strong and fast pros as Steffen Liebetrau, Felix Martínez, Eneko Llanos…
