Solidar athletes at 70.3 Ironman Antwerp or Marc Herremans Classic

A Club La Santa Marketing Department representative attended the 70.3 Ironman Antwerp to promote the Island of Lanzarote, the Ironman Lanzarote and Club La Santa as a holiday and training resort for triathletes. The project was initially created by Moisés Herrezuelo, triathlete and father of a kid with muscular dystrophy. He idead the project in Lanzarote when getting in touch personnally with wheelchair athlete Rafael López Ordoñez and the French athlete with adrenoleucodystrophy, Stéphane Rouyer.

The three of them decided to gather in Antwerp, where the 70.3 Ironman race is organized by Marc Herremans, and where slots are available in the handbike division.

The Spnaish athlete Rafael López Ordoñez gained his slot for the Kona October World Chapionship.
The Ironman Lanzarote race organization team wishes Rafael all the best in Kona.

The Spanish Television team from Canal Plus who had followed Rafael in Lanzarote, also came to Antwerp to finalize the programme on him for their section called "Informe Robinson".

Rafael is the triathlete from the South of Spain, first Spanish wheelchair triathlete to challenge the Ironman Lanzarote. As he did not reach the finish, he accepted the idea to go to Antwerp and get his first Ironman (70.3) Finish.

The athletes also used the opportunity to visit the Marc Herremans Foundation, To Walk Again, where a group of children enjoyed their first day of a "Dance on Wheels" holiday camp. Marc Herremans personnally welcomed the Spanish delegation.

Incredibly beautiful, the peace you feel at the Foundation ... At Sporta, To Walk Again
