PUMA sponsors the Ironman Lanzarote Canarias Triathlon 2008
This year, Puma grows together with the race itself and the Ironman Lanzarote is happy to present the PUMA Run course.
And for this occasion, to celebrate the PUMA Run Course, the company has decided not only to sponsor the race and the run course but they also sponsor 3 age group athletes. The 3 athletes, randomly chosen from the list of independent athletes (not club related), have received a series of RUNNING clothes and RUNNING shoes from PUMA: both for training and racing on race day, May 24.
Their names are Carlos, Mark Anthony and Moisés, three athletes whose main purpose is to reach the finish line. They were happily surprised and delighted by the amount and beautiful line of products received from PUMA.
For sure, they will be easily recognized on race day, as they obviously will wear the RUNNING line by PUMA and we will all be able to support them all along the PUMA RUN COURSE and give them a warm applause upon arrival at the finish line.
Thank you, PUMA, for this good idea! |

We will send you further information both on the Marathon and the investigation if you send us a request for more info (link to e-mail) but you can also have a look at our website, www.lanzarotemarathon.com to find out more and possibly get involved into the investigation too. |

With a little more than a month to go for XVII Ironman Lanzarote Canarias Triathlon, the race organization receives the withdrawal of Luc van Lierde, due to a two months lasting injury, with sadness - but at the same time we followed the Ironman race in Southafrica and take the opportunity to CONGRATULATE the Brits Stephen Bayliss and his fiancée Bella Comerford for their victory, After finishing New Zealand both in 4th position, they now both won an Ironman race together! He did it in 8:18:23 and she lasted 9:27:48, only 5 seconds ahead of runner-up.
Both will start Ironman Lanzarote next 24 May too, next to a series of Pro athletes.

However, it has not been possible to finalize the tarmacking of the whole course before race date. Therefore, the Ironman Lanzarote organization, i.e. Club La Santa and the Lanzarote Cabildo have designed a slightly modified bike course for this year's edition.
